Joe Cross (Dark Cloud/Sunshine Speaking) is privileged to be in the Fringe Festival. Aho Kevin and David for this. Joe's had major roles in the PBS series The War That Made America; Mystic Voice's The Story of the Pequot War; and A Thousand Roads the signature piece for the National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian, directed by Chris Eyre. Television includes SNL, CBS Sunday Morning, MTV spots, David Letterman, and others. Some webisodes yet to be found. Recent indies "Creating Karma" and "The Storyteller". He and his wife Donna were two of fourteen storytellers to open the Smithsonian's Native Museum in Washington, D.C. in 2004. Joe is a member of AFTRA and the Caddo Tribe of Oklahoma. Christopher Halladay* (Sheriff) is originally from West Chester, PA. He recently completed his Masters' Degree in Drama at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Christopher has also acted and studied in Los Angeles, Washington, DC and Oxford University, UK. He has been seen in several Films, Television Shows and National Commercials. He is proud to have worked in many prominent Los Angeles area theatres such as, A Noise Within, International City Theater, South Coast Repertory Theater, and The Pasadena Playhouse. Keith Longo (Eustice/Understudy, Nate) started acting while a sophomore English major and Theatre minor at Hobart College. His first play, Blind Elephants, was directed by Hobart alum, Andrew Holt. Other credits include; Lucia Mad directed by David Dannenfelser, and a number of one-act/10 minute plays. Keith comes from Hopedale, Massachusetts and grew up playing sports (hockey) and music (drums, guitar, vocals). He plans to continue his work as an actor and musician, and would like to thank Kevin Kittle and David Dannenfelser for this opportunity.

Jessica McKee (Hannah Boggs) hails from Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has just graduated with a BFA in Acting from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Some credits include Brie in Visions and Scars, The Girl/Junkie in I'd Rather Be Falling, Hero and Conrade in Much Ado about Nothing (at the Royal Shakespeare's Globe in London, England), Denice in The Wall of Water and Adela in The House of Bernarda Alba. Jessica feels privileged and honored to be a part of The Medicine Show and would like to give special thanks to David Dannenfelser and Kevin Kittle for giving her the amazing opportunity. She would also like to thank her cast, crew, friends and family for helping her out and being more than fantastic.

Ryan O'Nan (Nate Rogers) was born and raised in San Diego, the eldest of five kids. Before discovering his love for acting, Ryan's first passion was music. He spent six years touring the US as the lead singer/guitarist of the indie punk band Against the Wall, for which he wrote and recorded five records. Ryan is a graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and trained at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London England under renowned director Mike Alfreds. While in London, Ryan also acted in the feature film Last Flight to Kuwait, starred in three short films for Channel Four and also had a starring role on an episode of the British/Canadian television show Urban Legions. Ryan is also an accomplished screenwriter and playwright. His feature screenplay Chu and Blossom, co-written with his best friend and writing partner Charles Chu took the Grand Prize at the 2006 Expo 5 Screenwriting Competition. Ryan has also had his comic play Animals produced on both coasts as well as a zombie musical adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, Dead Side Story produced at New Jersey's George Street Playhouse, for which he wrote the book, music and lyrics.

Rico Rosetti* (Elmer Boggs) a Philadelphia native, received his MFA in Theatre Arts from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. In the past fifteen years, Rico has worked on several dozen plays as an actor, and many others as director, including A Doll's House (Torvald), Much Ado About Nothing (Don John), Hurlyburly (Eddie), and Trojan Women (Menelaus). He directed the critically acclaimed A Gentleman From Mississippi, which debuted at the Century Theatre in NYC before touring nationally, and recently directed Patriot Acts, for the Midtown International Theatre Festival. Rico appeared on NBC's Law & Order and guest-starred on Homicide: Life on the Streets. Also a musician, you can catch Rico performing in his acoustic duet, Vasken & Rico.

Raphael Biran (Earl, fiddle) is excited to be making his FringeNYC debut with The Medicine Show. Raphi enjoys a multi-faceted career as a singer, fiddler and Web developer. He comes from a musical family where it wasn't uncommon for everybody to sing "O Little Town of Bethlehem" on Chanukah and "I Have A Little Dreidel" on Christmas, usually in four-part harmony. Raphi would like to thank his musical parents for their love and support over the years, as well as his big brother and kid sister for lots of laughs.

Joe Choina (Joe, upright bass) specializes in bluegrass, honky-tonk & country music, and is in much demand as an upright bassist throughout NYC. He has accomplished a great deal in a short amount of time, having picked up his first musical instrument (guitar) a mere eight years ago. He has only been playing bass professionally for the past three years. Joe is a member of both Fresh Baked Bluegrass and Vincent Cross and Good Company, and can be heard regularly at the Baggot Inn's Bluegrass & Good Times Jam with Sheriff Uncle Bob on Wednesday nights. He also plays at the weekly bluegrass brunch at Nolita House.

Alan Cross (Delmar, guitar/mandolin/harmonica) is a three-time Emmy nominated writer, with credits including Pop-Up Video, Saturday Night Live, The Man Show, and Celebrity Deathmatch. His political humor has appeared in Nylon Magazine, Cracked Magazine, and Slate.com. Currently, he is writing a syndicated radio show with TV's Paul Shaffer. Alan can be heard in national voiceover campaigns for McDonalds, Mercedes, Priceline.com and others; you saw him in a 2006 Superbowl ad for Sprint, a spot that Adweek called "One of the ten funniest." Alan performs regularly at the Peoples Improv Theater.

Alex Fanuele (Drumboy Billy, percussion) is a 4th year Actor in Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He recently just returned from London, England where he completed two semesters of Shakespeare training at The Shakespeare Globe Theatre and played the roles of "Camillo" and "Clown" in Shakespeare's The Winters Tale. He currently lives in Montclair, NJ.

G. Doug Pierson (Lester, button accordion/guitar) Founding member of the musical group SlackJaw, and Celtic/sci-fi extravaganza The Highland Shatners, is a musician who has been active in NY since 1984. For ten years he wrote songs for and played with his country/rock group Clovis Noches, and has also composed scores for dance/theater, film, and other performance works. With Rob Kendt, he recently scored and played the music for Laura Livingston's play "An Inconvenient River", part of the Twainathon series at the Metropolitan Playhouse. Doug is proud to have sung in Carolyn Lord's opera Oedipus at Colonus in an excerpt presented at Music Under Construction in 2006. Recently SlackJaw completed a series of performances of the musical theater piece entitled Waterworks, with music and media scored by the group and prose composed by Loren Stell.




David Dannenfelser (Playwright) has written and directed his plays: The On Being Series, produced at Home for Contemporary Theatre and Art, (later renamed Here) Sid Berkeley Radio Slave, also at Home, The Keeper, a full-length radio play performed live at the Joseph Papp Public Theatre and broadcast over WBAI in NYC, and The Boy Who Lost His Sock, a full-length children's play adapted from a story by Patrick Gallagher and produced by The Youth Theatre of NJ in Sparta, NJ & The Kitchen Theatre in Ithaca, NY. Other plays include; In Five Boroughs, produced by Expanded Arts in NYC in 1999 and When Words Fail, produced with the Eponymous Theatre Company as a part of The New York International Fringe Festival in 1998 and later at the John Houseman Studio Theatre in 1999, both directed by Kevin Kittle. The play now appears in the anthology, Plays and Playwrights For The New Millennium published by The New York Theatre Experience, edited by Martin Denton. David has also directed many productions for professional and academic stages and is presently the artistic director for the Icarus Theatre Ensemble in Ithaca, NY. He also works as an Assistant Professor of Theatre in upstate NY. David is a member of The Dramatists Guild, Inc.

Kevin Kittle (Director) has worked as Joseph Chaikin's assistant director and with Arthur Miller and Sam Shepard for the Signature Theater Company. He has directed numerous productions in such New York City theaters as The Joseph Papp Public Theater, The John Houseman, The Neighborhood Playhouse, The Harold Clurman, Ensemble Studio Theater, Arclight, Chashama, HERE, Sullivan Street Playhouse, The Zipper, The Vital, Expanded Arts, and Access Studio Theater, as well as regionally. His most recent productions include the world premiere of Jamie Linley's Dirty Works (critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival) and Philip Ridley's The Pitchfork Disney with Stiff Upper Lip and Joe Penhall's Some Voices with The Villar-Hauser Development Fund, all at The Greenwich Street Theatre; And Mirasaki Danced (starring Michael Warren Powell) for Circle East; Burnt, which he co-developed with Rhett Rossi at The Present Company Theatorium; The Woolgatherer at The Flatiron Playhouse; the NYC premiere of Carter Lewis' Soft Click of a Switch; and The House of Yes at The Currican, Watching and Waiting at The Judith Anderson, and Life During Wartime with Aaron Stanford (2001 Off-Off Broadway Review Award for Outstanding Production) all with Inertia Productions, with whom he is resident director. As co-developer and dramaturge/director, Kevin has worked on David Dannenfelser's When Words Fail... at the NY International Fringe Festival, the script of which is published in Plays and Playwrights for the New Millennium, Vol. One and Peter Handy's East of the Sun and West of the Moon, which was a finalist in the Samuel French One Act Festival and is published by Samuel French. His Los Angeles production of Chet Whell's Economic Subterfuge, starring Jason Huber, was nominated for an LA Weekly Award. Kevin is an assistant professor of Acting in the BFA program at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, and is an associate director of the Youth Theater of New Jersey, where he teaches in their Summer Theatre Institute in residence at Columbia University and Julliard.

Patrick Gallagher (Composer/Musical Director/Sound Designer) has worked with David Dannenfelser on various projects as a musician and sound designer including, The Keeper, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, An Old Man with Enormous Wings, In Five Boroughs, The Boy Who Lost His Sock, The House of Bernarda Alba, Syd Barkley Radio Slave & a bunch of other shows I can't remember the names of but had lots of fun doing! And now The Medicine Show!! Many late nights sending notes and MP3s back and forth (thank you internet!), not much sleep but, lots of exploration & fun! I have traveled far and wide working on your shows, all while sitting at my desk. Thanks Dave! Patrick has worked with Theatrefest as Sound Designer for Man of LaMancha, Little Shop of Horrors & West Side Story. Patrick has worked with Two River Theatre Co as a sound designer. Productions include, Reckless, Machinal, Thieves' Carnival, Noises Off, The Real Thing, and Light up the sky. In 2000 Patrick had the honor of working as a guitarist/backing vocalist for Bobby "Tossin' and Turnin' Lewis" playing shows throughout the Tri-State area, most recently at the John Harms Theatre with the Bergen Philharmonic. Patrick also works as soundman & guitarist for "Joey G & the 18 Wheel Band" and played on G's 1997 recording Heirborn. Watch for G's "10 Year Tribute Collection" out in Fall 2007.

Beth Criscuolo (Choreographer) holds a B.A. in Theater from Desales University, where she won the Theater Award in her graduating year, and received an M.A. in Theater from Villanova University under the title of "Acting Scholar." Her favorite theatrical endeavors include a featured role in National Public Radio's The Door In The Wall with Colleen Dewhurst; Mencha in a production of New Kid which represented the U.S. at the International Children's Theater Festival, and she appeared in the premiere of Bruce Graham's Top Of The World at The Harold Prince Theater. Musical theater is Beth's expertise and first love; she's directed and choreographed shows throughout the tri-state area and for various touring companies. Presently Beth heads the Theater Dept. at a private school just outside of Philadelphia. She has known The Medicine Show creator, David Dannenfelser, for 42 years and in all that time has yet to encounter a more soulful playwright.

Lauren Noyes (Costume Designer) is currently running her 5th season at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse as their Wardrobe Master. Lauren received her B.A. from Wells College, and was awarded the Kate Clugston Prize in Theatre. Design credits include Blithe Spirit (TANYS award for Excellence in Costume and Wig Design), Lucia Mad (HWS), Anton in Show Business (WC), Hooks, Lines & Sinkers (CCC) and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Lauren has also worked Wardrobe and Wigs at the Geva Theatre Center and North Shore Music Theatre. Respect and Thanks to Dave for this opportunity, to her family and friends for their endless patience and support, and love to her sweetheart of a partner.

Sara Grady (Stage Manager) is a Seattle native and will be beginning her senior year at Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts in the fall. This will be her fourth time working with Kevin Kittle. Sara is privileged to be a part of The Medicine Show and The NY International Fringe Festival for the first time. She would like to thank her family and friends for their emotional and financial support.
